PROGRESSIVE RAP/ROCK GROUP STATES RELEASE HOSTAGE
Auckland band STATES have released their latest single 'Hostage' this week.
The band describe themselves as "Progressive Rap/Rock" and this track certainly delivers on that.
Hostage is a hard hitting track with aggressive rap verses and a soaring catchy chorus that is sure to get stuck in your head. Chunky breakdowns and melodic guitars with a brutal scream to finish off, this is a solid tune that showcases exactly who STATES are.
It's been a long time between drinks for STATES, their last single 'Relentless' being released back in March 2021. But as they say, good things take time, and this track is certainly worth waiting for!
The music video for Hostage was shot at "STATES HQ" which is the bands rehearsal space and where they write their music. The video is the directorial debut from drummer Chris, check it out here:
